DESIGN AND VISUAL COMMUNICATION – 10DVC
This course is adapted from the Technology curriculum and has a high
emphasis on design. Students will learn how to design and represent
their ideas on paper. They will also learn about some of the occupations
within the industries of fashion, engineering, building and architecture,
as many of these industries rely on drawings to produce a product or
repair something. A part of the class time is set aside for CAD (computer
assisted drawing) and the other time is reserved for practical pencil
drawings. Year 10 Graphics students will have a good foundation for any
Level 1 Design and Visual Communication programme.
