COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course introduces students to the basic skills required in meal planning, practical cookery and nutritional knowledge together with food development. There will also be a bi-cultural component that focusses on Traditional Maori food and development of an Urban hangi food and meals of a Pasifika nature. This subject will offer pupils the necessary knowledge and skills needed if they were to take the subject at a senior level. This course requires focus and commitment.
