Year 10 Social Sciences covers four main components: Cultural Studies, Social Studies, Geography, and the Aotearoa New Zealand History Curriculum. Within each of these you will learn and develop the skills of understanding how different societies have influenced modern society; how people seek and define human rights in relation to social issues and actions, the sustainability of different land uses and the environmental, economic and social issues surrounding these uses; and different perspectives of historical events. We will use Local, National and Global contexts.
