Business Education encourages students to have a positive 'çan do' attitude. Within the Business Education Department we offer courses in Accounting and Business Studies. Our Business Studies courses enable students to run their own mini business enterprises. This allows them to apply business theory and also develop interpersonal skills through working in teams to produce and sell real products. These activities develop team work skills, communication skills, time management skills, and accordingly, offer many leadership opportunities.
Students enjoy many successes from taking part in enterprise activities. Most notably in 2008, 2009 and 2010 our Young Enterprise Scheme students received high honours in winning national awards for Excellence in Pasifika Business and Excellence in Social Responsibility and in 2012 our Year 12 Business group, Lunches for Less, won the Social Enterprise Competition run by the p3 Foundation.'
