course description

Students will be exposed to a variety of different dance styles, such as Hip Hop and Contemporary as well as being introduced to methods of choreography. Students will learn to perfect and rehearse dances to master their dance technique, as well as exploring new and innovative movement of their own. Students will be expected to participate in all performance assessments and other showcase events. Students will sit one written exam in the NCEA exams at the end of the year.

​Careers include: Professional Choreographer, Freelance/Professional Dancer, Studio Owner, Studio Dance teacher, Secondary School Dance Teacher, Dance Company Manager.
