At least 16 credits in Level 1 Dance; OR have a passion for dance/ choreography, an interest in a career in dance/choreography AND an excellent attendance.
Students will be exposed to a variety of different dance styles such as Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Contemporary as well as being introduced to in depth methods of choreography. Students will learn to perfect and rehearse dances to master their dance technique, as well as exploring new and innovative movement of their own. Students should expect to perform in some assemblies for performance assessments and local competitions. Students will sit one written exam in the NCEA exams at the end of the year.
$30 for theatre visits and workshops during the year.
