14 Credits from a Level 1 Science Course including passes in both the Mechanics external and Physics Investigation internal. A good standard of Mathematics is required particularly in Algebra and Trigonometry. MCAT results will be taken into consideration.
course description
Students will study Mechanics and Electricity to gain the specialist knowledge required for careers in professional engineering (a 4 year degree which includes civil engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, materials and chemical engineering, aviation), trades engineering (which includes specialised trades such as electrician, fabrication, elevator repair, machinery, refrigeration, mechanic, marine, aircraft and automotive engineering) or medicine (and related careers such as physiotherapy, optometry, pharmacy and dentistry), transport, architecture and technology. The majority of credits come from externally assessed standards.
