course description
This course enables students to communicate about their own experiences in Te Reo and also prepare them for NCEA Level 3 Te Reo Māori. Students are expected to develop a range of language strategies throughout the year to communicate about their lives.
Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori assist and compliment a wide range of careers.

- Take Taiohi - positive experience, reo/identity/culture

- Ngā pakanga o nehera
- The internal assessment focus is on kōrero (speaking), whakarongo (listening) and waihanga tuhinga (crafted writing).
- The external examination will focus on tuhi (writing) and pānui (reading) aspects of the course.
