A pass in one external standard and two internal standards in one of the following Level 2 subjects: English, History, Classics or Geography.
course description
Students will learn about the past and how it influences the present. The course of study is based on the history of New Zealand. Student learning will be centered around historical concepts, perspectives, cause and effect, significance and continuity and change. In this course students will also gain the skills of resource interpretation, essay writing and research.

Tertiary study in fields such as Commerce, Health Science, Planning, Law, Architecture, Politics, Arts, Business and Information Management, and Education. This subject can be used as one of the 18 Credit subjects required for entry into the University of Auckland.
